Doing searches for pinewood derby lubricants on Google or eBay will yield lots of results. You will likely find statements such as:
– “Tungsten Disulfide (WS2) has an coefficient of friction lower than that of Teflon, Graphite, or Molybdenum Disulfide”
– “Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2) has a coefficient of friction less than graphite. ”
That such sound intriguing, but if make sure you dig deeper into the details before succumbing to the marketing hype.
