Pinewood Derby Car Design







THE WEDGE is the classic pinewood derby car, combining ease of building with top performance. THE WEDGE is the perfect car for first time builders.

In addition to the wood block and basic hand tools, you will need the following supplies to build THE WEDGE:

• 7/16" Brad Point or Forstner drill bit (hardware store item)



• 7/16" wooden dowel rod (hardware or hobby store item)



• Lead: 3 ounces of 3/8" lead wire



• Custom Designs decal sheet was used to customize the car in the photo



• The extended wheel base can be created by either cutting new axle slots with two hacksaw blades, or by drilling axle holes with the Pro-Body Tool. Instructions and templates are provided in the car plan booklet.
