Extended Low-Rider Curved Body

THE LOW-RIDER has a low profile to slip down the track at top speed. The curved body not only enhances the appearance of the car, but also shifts the center of gravity closer to the rear axle, thus enhancing the performance.
In addition to the car kit and basic hand tools, you will need the following supplies to build THE LOW-RIDER:
- 1/2" or 7/16" Brad Point or Forstner drill bit (hardware store item)
- Coping saw, or another type of saw that can cut a curve
- Wood chisel (1/2" or smaller)
- Shoe rasp, or a curved rasp and curved file (Hardware store item)
- 3-1/4 ounces of segmented lead weight with adhesive removed. These plans assume that each segment is 1/4 ounce and measures 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/8".
- Custom Designs decal sheet was used to customize the car in the photo
- The extended wheel base can be created by either cutting new axle slots with two hacksaw blades, or by drilling axle holes with the Pro-Body Tool. Instructions and templates are provided in the Car Plans booklet.
